International Women's Day
This International Women's Day 2025, we join the global call to #AccelerateAction in support of gender equality. As a WBENC certified woman-owned business, and with 80% of our executive leadership team and 71% of our entire company being women, we understand the importance of advancing gender equity.
Here's how some of the women at Sustainable Solutions Corporation are accelerating action in sustainability and empowering positive global change with our clients:

"I’ve conducted numerous Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) that help manufacturers understand their sustainability performance, pinpoint areas for improvement, and quantify the impact of their efforts.
For example, a client in the polymer films industry found that incorporating recycled content into their products reduced their carbon footprint by up to 59%— a powerful validation of circular materials in action!"

"I helped to develop and implement the zero-waste plan for a community service event in Philadelphia with over 4,000 attendees.
With support from the entire event staff and attendees, we diverted over 2,000 pounds of waste from landfill and achieved Zero Waste to Landfill Certification. It felt so rewarding to make such a clear impact (even if we had to sort through trash to do it!)"

"I developed and delivered an in-person Scope 3 training for a company’s procurement team.
It was really fulfilling to do the training in-person and have face-to-face interaction since a lot of our work is virtual – we had great engagement from the team and they were eager to learn more about their impact on Scope 3.
It was exciting to use this as a starting point for their team to begin to tackle and reduce their company’s Scope 3 emissions."

"I recently worked on the renewal of Environment Product Declarations (EPDs) for a building product manufacturer that sells its products across the United States.
It was insightful to see how improvements they’ve incorporated over the past five years have helped reduce their environmental impacts – one of their product's global warming potential decreased by 18%!
It was also worthwhile to evaluate how some of their upcoming Sustainable Product Innovation that can help to further drive product environmental impact reductions."

"I’ve worked on a variety of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies, including industry wide reports which are being used to improve the data used in future LCAs.
By updating one industry-wide LCA, we were able to recognize an 11% decrease in the amount of energy used during manufacturing, which resulted in an 11% decrease to the global warming potential."
These 5 examples are just a few of the many valuable contributions our team is making to both our clients and the planet every single day. We are so proud of ALL the women in Sustainable Solutions Corporation. We thank them for their dedication to our mission of empowering positive global change!
