Reducing the environmental impacts associated with products is becoming an increasing focus for manufacturers across all industries. Shareholder concerns, customer requests and resource constraint are fueling this movement, which is providing opportunities for innovation throughout the production process. Raw materials and components are often the largest contributors to the environmental impacts of a product.
